Premarital Marriage Course?
It’s all the concrete relationship skills and tools you should have been taught in high school, but weren’t.
These are the skills you need to strengthen your communication so you stay connected during the ‘tough times’ all couples have.
Premarital Marriage Course:
SKILLS FOCUSED
You gain concrete tools such as:
- asking questions without ‘pinging’ your partner
- communicating so you both feel seen and heard
- problem-solving to avoid conflict
- discussing ‘difficult’ topics
- re-connecting after a conflict
- apologizing effectively to address hurts
- and others, depending on your unique needs
Premarital Marriage Course:
STRUCTURED
Step by step, you learn about your partner, address relationship issues, and improve communication skills.
By using structured conversations I keep it safe for both of you and help you learn skills that you can easily apply at home.
You will have a workbook to help you during the Intensive. This then serves as a Resource book once you return home.

How long is the Premarital Marriage Course?
These Courses are 1 or 2 days: 9 am – 5 pm daily or can be broken up into 4 hour chunks (online only).
The one-day option focuses on foundational tools necessary for successful communication and connection in your relationship.
The two-day option includes the foundational tools plus an additional day to give you more practice to integrate what you are learning. The additional time may also be used to address past hurts and complicated discussions you have not been able to resolve yet.
Where is the Premarital Marriage Course?
There are 2 possible locations:
- We may work at my home office in Asheville, NC. It’s comfortable, private, and designed to make our work successful.
- Online is another option that is equally successful. This allows you to be anywhere you wish while working on your relationship. And there is the added benefit of being able to break up the days so you are doing 4 hours at a time rather than an 8-hour day.
Is this Religious?
This course is intended to be non-religious. That being said, I respect you both as individuals, including religious beliefs.
I will be sensitive and include religious topics on an individual basis, based on the couples’ needs and requests.
Is this appropriate for couples NOT getting married?
Definitely!
The skills and tools taught in this course are helpful for any couple at any stage of their relationship and of any orientation.
What’s included?
>> My complete attention on you and your relationship from 9-5 daily for one or two days. This is the equivalent of 2 to 4 months’ worth of couples sessions.
>> Resource Workbook that includes exercises and information to support you at home.
>> Snacks and beverages to nurture and sustain you (if in-person).
>> Exclusive Access to subsequent relationship coaching sessions as needed and as my schedule allows.
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
>> Email recommendations for you each individually and as a couple. Also included is a summary of tools and strategies we used during your Intensive ($75).
What is the cost?
The price depends on the number of days we work together.
1 Day (8 hours) is $1,800
2 Days (16 hours) is $3,600
As you look at the costs, if you feel a bit overwhelmed and that it’s not possible, due to the price, check out my payment options.
REMEMBER: if done ONLINE, then the days can be divided and spread out into 4 hour chunks of time.
Will my insurance cover this?
Possibly.
If you have ‘out of network’ benefits, your insurance may cover part of our work.
Unfortunately, insurance companies do not pay for full day sessions. Due to that, in the best case scenario, only part of this will be reimbursed by your insurance.
Can this be a gift for a couple?
Absolutely!
I think this makes one of the best gifts, as couples often don’t realize the need for skills until challenges have started.
